Holding crouch can also give Lecarde a super jump, helping him reach heights he wouldn’t get to otherwise. Lecarde has a spear which is able to hit diagonally on the ground and has a bit more reach. While traveling across Europe during World War 1, you are able to play either as John Morris or Eric Lecarde from the opening select screen, and each character has unique gameplay differences: Morris plays similar to the Belmonts you know and love, though he is able to whip diagonally in the air, as well as use his whip on ceilings to swing.
